Dorothy Brown’s Clear Vision, Fiscal Responsibility, and Leadership Skills Stands Out During Candidate Forum

Progressive Community Church Forum Provided Opportunity for Community to Hear From Candidates

CHICAGO—As Clerk Brown discussed her vision for Cook County, during a presentation at the 2010 Cook County Board Presidential Election Forum, it was clear that she has both the new ideas,  experience and financial background needed to provide direction, fiscal responsibility and leadership.

The forum, hosted at Progressive Community Church led by Pastor, Rev. Dr. B. Herbert Martin and organized by Pastor, Rev. Paul L. Jakes, Jr., President of the Christian Council on Urban Affairs was designed to provide voters with an opportunity to hear from each candidate.

Always solution oriented, Clerk Brown discussed opportunities to improve the Cook County Health Care System, the budget crisis and both the adult and juvenile criminal justice systems.   Dorothy Brown also discussed ways to create jobs through a county wide economic development effort and by helping small businesses.

“I am a CPA, an attorney, and I have an MBA. I have the executive management experience and financial background needed to lead Cook County out of the current fiscal and mismanagement crisis. We need new ideas not new taxes. As President, I will bring the innovation, reform and fiscal responsibility Cook County government needs and its voters deserve.”

*Dorothy Brown has served as Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County for nine years.  She is a CPA, has an MBA, holds a law degree, and has the executive management experience and financial background to set Cook County’s financial house in order.
